Technology
Engineering Innovation for a Circular Future

EcoCycle invests in world-leading recycling technology to ensure complex materials are processed safely, efficiently, and within Australia. Our commitment to onshore innovation allows us to recover valuable materials, eliminate environmental risk, and strengthen the country’s recycling infrastructure for future generations.

From lighting and e-waste to mercury and batteries, every EcoCycle facility operates with precision-engineered systems designed for maximum material recovery, safety, and environmental integrity.

ONSHORE ADVANTAGE
By processing materials domestically rather than exporting them overseas, EcoCycle ensures full control over environmental outcomes and data traceability.

This approach delivers measurable benefits:

Reduced emissions and transport impacts
Local jobs and technical expertise
Verified recovery rates and compliance transparency
Protection of Australia’s supply chain for critical materials

Our technologies are continually refined and expanded to meet emerging recycling challenges across all sectors.

RECYCLE SAFELY. RECYCLE LOCALLY. RECYCLE WITH ECOCYCLE.

OUR ADVANCED RECYCLING SYSTEMS

Lighting Waste Processing Plant

Purpose-built for the safe recycling of fluorescent tubes, compact fluorescent bulbs, and lighting waste, recovering up to 95% of materials including glass, metals, and phosphor powder.

Flat Panel Display (FDP) Recycling Plant

A specialised system for the treatment of LCD and LED screens, separating glass, plastics, and valuable rare-earth materials while ensuring safe containment of backlighting components.

Batch Process Distiller

A fully automated distillation system for the safe recovery and purification of mercury from lighting waste, electrical devices, amalgam, and industrial materials. Operating under vacuum and temperature-controlled conditions, it captures and condenses mercury vapour while filtering all emissions through activated carbon systems. This technology enables clean mercury recovery in full compliance with EPA and Minamata Convention standards.

Mercury Retirement Plant

Australia’s first onshore facility for the permanent stabilisation and conversion of elemental mercury into mercury sulphide (HgS). This process renders mercury chemically inert, providing a secure, long-term containment pathway that eliminates environmental and export risks.

Innovation Backed by Experience

For more than three decades, EcoCycle has combined engineering expertise with environmental responsibility. Our investment in technology is matched by our commitment to compliance, data transparency, and measurable outcomes, ensuring every process we operate contributes to a safer, more sustainable future.
